Acquisition

The fonds originated from the activities of the Landrat (District Councillor) in Frýdlant. The incomplete documents got into the District Archives in Frýdlant and from there the first files were transferred to the State Archives in Jablonec in 1955. When the District Archives in Frýdlant was abolished in 1962, the District Archives in Liberec took over 12 boxes of the building plans and correspondence of the Landrat. The arranged part of the fonds was transferred to the District Archives in Liberec in the 1980s. In 2007, a card file of politically unreliable persons from the district of Frýdlant, discovered in the State District Archives Děčín during the arrangement of the fonds of the Rumburk Collecting Center, was added to it. The fonds was supplemented with the arranged orders and circulars of the Landrat from the fonds of the municipality archives of Boleslav and Horní Pertoltice. The set of these documents was arranged in 2010-2012.

Scope and Content

The fonds includes a fraction of the preserved material of the Landrat (District Councillor) Frýdlant, in particular police matters, registry agenda and allocation of apartments to the persons with bombed out dwellings. Jews are mentioned in the file 81, box 6: Glück Fritz Israel Dr., Jewish prosecutor, property, 1942-1945. It is also appropriate to focus on the files labeled Kult that predominantly include religious issues.

System of Arrangement

During the 2012 arrangement, the original system of reference numbers was partially reconstructed and the files were divided into the following sections: State internal administration - General police issues, District self-government - District building office (building procedure - according to municipalities), District office of social care, District office of youth care, Economic office, Maintenance office, District treasury, Forestry office, District commander of volunteer firefighters, Gendarmerie, and Appendices.
