The fonds of the Gendarmerie Station of Poříčí was initially located in the State Regional Archives in Zámrsk and was subsequently transferred to the State District Archives in Trutnov, where the entire fonds is now kept.
Scope and Content
The fonds of the Gendarmerie Station of Poříčí near Trutnov contains records from between 1938 and 1944. Among the main documents relating to Jewish matters is a list of Jewish businesses and Jewish businessmen from Poříčí, which is kept in Box 1673 under File Ref. Nos. 1–46 from 1938. Box 1673 also contains information on various regulations concerning the Jewish population, including an order prohibiting Polish Jews from entering the Sudetenland territory (Box 1673, File Ref. Nos. 12–63, 1939). Box 1674 contains, among other things, files with information on the founding of the labour camp at the Walzel Company in Poříčí. Boxes 1674, 1677 and 1678 have files entitled 'Eastern Workers', which also include people of Jewish origin.
System of Arrangement
The fonds has not been arranged. It consists of files in boxes, arranged in chronological order. Some of the files have a reference number. It is most likely that the filing system of this Gendarmerie Station has not been preserved.
