Biographical History
The Tábor District National Committee administered the Tábor District in 1945-1990. From 1949, it dealt with, among other things, the agenda of confiscation of agricultural property, technical and economic modifications of land, hunting and permitting of agricultural credit, and carried out a new land reform. Commissions became the executive component of the district national committee. It also had its elected bodies, a council and a plenum. In 1990, the Tábor District National Committee was transformed into the Tábor District Office.
Archival History
The documents of the fonds began to be accepted into the District Archives in Tábor as early as 1961. The fonds was not stored in one place. A relatively large number of documents got in the archives after the abolition of the District Office in 2002. In 2003, after the Tábor State District Archives moved to a new building, the entire fonds was consolidated, processed and made available by a temporary inventory list.
Scope and Content
The fonds is linked to the Tábor District Office. It contains documents concerning municipal affairs, population movements, emigration, domicile right, education, health, police, construction, poverty, charity, agriculture, trades, finance and the military. Jews are explicitly mentioned in the following documents: persecution of Jews during the Nazi occupation (lists made in 1947); Jewish religious community - members of the leadership in Tábor 1948; territorial organization of churches - Jewish religious community 1949-1989.

The files are divided into the handling units: 1945-1948, 1949-1950, 1951-1954, 1955-1976, 1977-1990; People's Control Committee; Personal use of land; Transfer of ownership (cancellation of rents); Accounting material.
