Biographical History
The district office of Praha-venkov-sever was a body of political administration in the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia in the period of the Second World War. It was established on June 1, 1942, its predecessor being the district office of Praha-venkov. It was seated in Prague. It existed until May 9, 1945. Then it was replaced by the national committee.
Archival History
Presidium files arose from the activities of political administration. This agenda was dealt with in principle by the senior officials of the offices. At the district offices, it was always the district governor. Originally, the documents were stored in the office of Praha I, later in the District National Committee Praha-venkov-sever. A catalog of presidium files was made in the 1970s. In 1960, the files were transferred to the Archives of Praha-východ in Říčany. The archive material was damaged by floods.
