The documents of the administrative and civil agendas were taken out from the registry of the District Court in Vimperk and in 1959 they were handed over to the State Archives in Třeboň. The documents of the criminal agenda were taken over by the Archives from district public prosecutors' offices. The fonds was processed in 1960 and 1961. In 1981, the fonds was transferred to the State District Archives in Prachatice.
The fonds includes documents of the Amtsgericht (District Court) of Vimperk from the period of the German occupation.
