Acquisition

The fonds was arranged in 1968 by an archiver of the company archive of the national company Cotona Beroun, V. Baudyšová. In the same year, the inventory valid so far was also compiled. Later the fonds was taken over by the State Regional Archives in Zámrsk, from where in 2010 it was incorporated in the State Regional Archives in Pilsen. During 2012–2013 the fonds was arranged again as part of a general inventory.

Scope and Content

The fonds contains documents from the Liebauthal textile factories of Fischer and Co., Libavské Údolí from 1938 to 1950. Since these are documents of the Aryanised company, originally Noë Stross joint-stock company, United Textile Factories in Libavské Údolí and Bělá pod Bezdězem, a large number of documents are related to Jewish history. Matters pertaining to Aryanisation, its circumstances and its consequences are located mainly in part I. of the fonds. These include mainly Aryanisation contracts from 1939, transfers, buy-offs and payouts of shares in connection with the Aryanisation process (inv. 10, Aryanisation of the company – contracts, 1939). The fonds includes correspondence between the plant and the foreign exchange department of the chief financial president in Carlsbad, banks, lawyers and shareholders and documents from the plant in Bělá (inv. 2, Bělá plant, former Noë Stross – Aryanisation, 1940–1945). The fonds also includes a report from the representative board of the original Noë Stross a.s., United Textile Factories in Libavské Údolí and Bělá pod Bezdězem, dated 30 June 1938 (inv. 11, Representative Board's report, 1938). A special inventory part of the fonds consists of resolution of obligations payable to Dr Olga Sara Weinreb, daughter of the late Vienna court counsel Siegfried Gerstmann (inv. 1, an obligation towards Olga Weinreb, 1939–1950).

System of Arrangement

The archive fonds consists of 11 inventory units kept in two boxes. The fonds is structured as follows: I. Company Management and administration (1939 to 1950), II. Accounting and Reporting (1938 to 1946).
