Biographical History

The administrative district of Praha-západ was established in 1949 on the territory of the former judicial districts of Praha-sever and Praha-západ and part of the Unhošť region. The district was part of the Prague region. The District National Committee of Praha-západ started its activities in 1949. In 1960, the district and the office were abolished.

Archival History

The fond arose from activities of the District National Committee of Praha-západ in 1949-1960. The central registry was not properly kept, so there were numerous losses of material.
