Amtsgericht (District Court) of Kaplice
Extent and Medium
7,66 linear meters
Acquisition
Documents of the Amtsgericht (District Court) of Kaplice were stored in the registry of the District Court of Kaplice along with documents of the Amtsgericht of Vyšší Brod. The documents were roughly arranged by a Kaplice District archivist and in 1959 they were passed to the State Archives in Třeboň. Some documents of the criminal agenda were taken over by the State Archives in Třeboň from the District Prosecutor's Office of Kaplice in 1957. Part of the agenda could not be found. The administrative files and the list of hereditary estates are missing. In 1960 the fonds was arranged and inventoried.
Scope and Content
Documents relating to persons of Jewish origin have survived in fragments: Jewish property, 1940 (file HL 1/40). Files concerning Jewish inhabitants may sometimes be found in other parts of the fonds, too. Searching by call numbers and according to the register is difficult.
System of Arrangement
The arranged part of the fonds is arranged as follows: I. The court agenda: A/Books, B/Files: 1/1938-1940, 2)1941-1945; II. The agenda of the inheritance court.
