Biographical History
From 1850 to 1855, the court district of Vlašim was part of the district governor's office in Benešov. In 1855, a mixed political-judicial district office was established in Vlašim. The judiciary was separated from the political administration in 1868, and the district governor's office in Benešov was restored, which again included the judicial district of Vlašim. In 1913, a district political branch was established in Vlašim for the court district of the same name. During the Nazi occupation in 1942, the district office in Vlašim was abolished and incorporated into the Benešov district. In May 1945, a local national committee was established there.
Archival History
The mixed district office of Vlašim, the district branch office, and the district office had the seat in Vlašim. The files were kept in the office building. When the Vlašim district was connected to Benešov, the written material was transferred to Benešov. At the beginning of 1959, the District Archives in Benešov received 12 books and 1 box of file material from 1855-1868 from the State Archives in Prague. The fonds of the Vlašim District Office was organized and inventoried by the staff of the District Archives in 1964.

The fonds arose from the activities of the Vlašim District Office. It contains official books, file material and accounting material.
