Biographical History

Jacob Schoepser born Febraury 21, 1875, Grossglombotchek bei Graidenz, West Prussia. He fought for Germany in World War One and captured the first Russian flag at the Battle of Tannenberg. For this he received a medal and had "afternoon tea" with the Emporer and Empress. Later he was wounded - shot in the lung - which caused his deather 4 years later. He died November 16, 1924 in Hohenstein Kreis Osterode, East Prussia.
