    Collection contains predominantly published materials and some correspondence related to antisemitism, war refugees, persecution of Jews in France and to Vichy politics. Records include brochures, essays, clippings, newspaper illustrations and office documents.

    Consists of records relating to the operations of the Union Générale des Israélites de France (UGIF) Commission des Camps, The Commission des Camps was headquartered in Toulouse, halfway between the camps of Gurs and Rivesaltes, and proximate to three other camps. The Commission's goal was the centralization of camp archives. The collection includes hundreds of letters from refugees and internees, testifying to the plight of Jews in France during occupation.

    Triangular metal birth pendant belonging to the donor's mother Ruth Polilnger (nee Wermuth, 1929-1970), that sailed with her from Frankfurt, Germany to New York in 1940. It is engraved with her date of birth, place of birth (Frankfurt A.M)., and "Mazel Tov". These birth pendants were traditionally given to newborn girls in Frankfurt, Germany between 1928 and 1929.

  6. Ginette Kalish photographs

    Contains photographs of Ginette Kalish [donor] and other children in Canet Plage, France, who were part of a group of seventy other orphaned children from Barcelona, Spain, who had escaped Franco and were assisted by the Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society. This group of children were later moved to a chateau in La Vercantiere that included a school and church until their liberation in 1945. Also includes a collection of prewar and wartime photographic prints and a photographic postcard documenting the Druker family, friends from Canet Plage and the Château de Masgelier children's home in Francet.
