History

At a meeting of the Council of People's Commissars on September 11, 1928, it was decided to transfer some of the central institutions of the Kazakh Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic, including the Central State Archive, to the new capital of Almaty. In November 1928, the Kyzylorda Regional Archival Bureau was established, thus laying the foundation for the present State Archive of the Kyzylorda Region. From this moment begins the formation of the structure of the archival system of the region. With the decision number 251 of the Presidium of the executive committee of the South Kazakhstan region of March 29, 1935, the bureau of the district archive re-formed the district archive attached to the Kyzylorda district executing committee, although the old name “district archives” was spoken together. In 1938, the district archives created a management of the archives of the region.
