History
The predecessor of Baranya County Archives, the State Archives of Pécs was established in 1950 with the integration of four archival collections (Baranya county, city of Pécs, Mohács and the Archive of the Pécs’ Chapter).

Archival and Other Holdings
The archival collections of the Baryna County Archives consist of 17 300 meters of archival records. The Baranya County Archives collects the files of the municipalities, of the administrative and jurisdictional bodies, of the various institutions, of the county council in Baranya county and it keeps family heritages.
Opening Times
The Baranya County Archives is open to the researchers on Mondays to Thursdays from 8:00 to 12:00 and from 12:30 to 15:00, on Fridays is closed.
