History

The Research and Documentation Center for Holocaust victims and survivors has been developed by Jewish community Zagreb (dr. Ognjen Kraus, president), Claims conference (grant no 82-6111-1) and JDC (Yechiel Bar-Chaim) in the year 2000. From March 2002, Research and Documentation Center“Cendo”was registered as independent organization in Municipal administration and in Ministry of sciences. According to the registration in Ministry of sciences, (14.3.2002) the main activities of Cendo are:Stimulation and cooperation with scientific and professional researchers and members of Jewish communities in Croatia in collection, preservation and research material and documents about Jews in Croatia; Establishment of Database of Holocaust victims and Holocaust survivors
