    Born 1905 in Vienna. Died 1997 in Vienna. Austrian psychiatrist and psychotherapist. Founder of the Logotherapy. Published his experiences in Terezín, Auschwitz and Türkheim already in 1946 in "Trotzdem Ja zum Leben sagen" (Man's Search for Meaning). Head of the unit for assisting ill people in Terezín. Transported to Terezín in September 1942. Transported to Auschwitz in October 1944. Liberated in Kaufering in April 1945.
