  1. Strauss, Leopold (* 21.1.1897)

    Born 1897 in Vienna. Died 1944 in Auschwitz. Austrian cabaret artist and son of the operetta composer Oscar Strauss. Strauss wrote some of the most popular song texts and cabaret texts in Terezín like "Die Stadt Als Ob". Transported to Terezín in October 1942. Transported to Auschwitz in October 1944.

  2. Kien, František Petr (* 1.1.1919)

    Born 1919 in Varnsdorf. Died 1944 in Auschwitz. Czech German speaking artist and poet. Like many other artists Kien worked in the Technical Chambers in Terezín. He wrote the Libretto to Viktor Ullmann's oopera 'The Emperor of Atlantis'

  3. Sommerová, Alice (* 26.11.1903)

    Born 1903 in Prague. Pianist. Often known as one of the oldest Holocaust survivors still alive. Alice Sommer played more than 100 concerts in Terezín. Transported to Terezín in July 1943. Liberated in May 1945.
