    Born 1902 in Ludwigshafen. Died 1944 in the Small Fortress in Terezín. German sociologist. Worked in the "Reichsvereinigung der Juden in Deutschland" (Reich's Association of the Jews in Germany). Eppstein was the second Elder of the Jews in Terezín. Transported to Terezín in January 1943.
