    Born 1884 in Breslau. Died in the 1950s in Prague. Chemist. Development of the gas defence for the Central Powers. Pick was head of the Sanitary Facilities and Disinfection in Terezín. Transported to Terezín in November 1942. Liberated in Terezín in May 1945.

    Born 1889 in Zábřeh. Died 1978. Nurse in Terezín. Groag wrote several poems in the Ghetto. Transported to Terezín in July 1942. Liberated in Terezín in May 1945.

  3. Bakon, Juda (* 28.7.1929)

    Born 1929 in Ostrava. Czech-Israeli Painter. Played in the children's opera "Brundibar" in Terezín. Transported to Terezín in September 1942. Transported to the "family camp" in Auschwitz-Birkenau in December 1943 and later to Mauthausen. Liberated close to Gunskirchen, Austria.

  4. Kárný, Miroslav (* 9.9.1919)

    Born 1919 in Prague. Died 2001 in Prague. Czech historian and journalist. Karny worked in Communist youth groups in Terezín and held lectures. After the war he became one of the most important holocaust historians in Czechoslovakia. Transported to Terezín in November 1941. Transported to Auschwitz in September 1944. Transported to Kaufering. Liberated after a death march in Allach in April 1945.
