  7. Oral history interviews of the Forum Institute, Samorin, Slovakia/Zoltán Kőrös collection

    Oral history interviews, photos, and documents related to the experiences of ethnic Hungarians and former soldiers (WWII combatants) in Slovakia who witnessed events that impacted Jews during the Holocaust and/or have memories of prewar Jewish life in Slovakia. The collection also includes testimonies about the lives of ethnic Hungarians under the Czechoslovakian regime.

  13. Goldstein and Thebner families collection

    The Goldstein and Thebner families collection consist of biographical material, correspondence, a diary, and photographs relating to Ruth Goldstein and Arthur Thebner’s families pre-war and wartime experiences. The collection includes a large amount of correspondence among family members relating to their attempts to emigrate from Germany as well as pre-war family photographs. The collection also includes a diary written by Ilse Szinberger, Arthur’s cousin, during her time in London from 1942-1958, and a prayer book.

  14. Gershon Perecman collection

    Collection of materials documenting the experiences of Gershon Perecman (donor's father) before, during, and after the Holocaust; includes newspaper "Our Hope" from the displaced persons camp (dated 1947), Perecman's memoir on a notepad and loose pages, translation of the memoir, envelopes of watchsprings and other watch repair parts from his time in the DP camp, oral history interview with Gershon Perecman on VHS, and one German coin.

    Videotape testimony of Betsy S., who was born in Brussels, Belgium in 1928.   16. Raphael Allie photograph collection

    Collection of photographs, copy prints, and photographic postcards documenting the Dachau concentration camp and other locations, and American GIs after liberation. Possibly images of the 3rd Armored Division. First Sgt. Raphael "Ray" Allie, a member of the 3rd Armored Division, brought these photographs home after his military service during WWII.

  17. Trial of David Frankfurter Prozess David Frankfurter Bestand

    Contains records of the trial of David Frankfurter in Chur, Switzerland, 1936. Includes personal documents of Frankfurter, correspondence, press articles, reports and protocols. The Jewish student David Frankfurter, shot to death the German Nazi official, NSDAP state party leader for Switzerland, Wilhelm Gustloff, on February 4, 1936, in Davos in the canton of Grisons, Switzerland. He was sentenced to a long prison term; pardoned in August 1945 and released.

    OSE (Oeuvre de Secours aux Enfants) home for Jewish boys in Ecouis, France. The teenage boys had been liberated from Buchenwald just three months prior. The boys dance. 00:02:46 The boy carrying a suitcase is Israel Meir Lau. The teenage boys engage in sports, visit the city and some board a bus and wave goodbye, perhaps emigrating to Palestine or other places. A memorial service/parade and display of models the boys made in a woodworking class. They socialize with girls and build a fire.
