    Consists of one memoir, untitled and undated, describing the pre-war, wartime, and post-war experiences of Benjamin Midler, originally of Bialystock, Poland. He describes the Russian and German occupations of Bialystock; life in the Bialystock ghetto; the August 1943 liquidation of the ghetto and Jewish resistance; life in the Majdanek, Bliszin, and Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camps; and his post-war life in Poland, Israel, and the United States.

The footage for this film comes from the camera of a mountain hunter of the former 1st Mountain Division Mittelwald. Includes fight at 50 degrees below zero, flagging on the 5,633 meter high Elbrus and daily life of the soldiers in an occupied country.

Opposite the Cafe Linden in the Unter den Linden, crowds form behind SS guards as a long motorcade passes. Hitler's car is part of this motorcade. People skating and running in the snow. Berlin cafes and club lights at night-time.

  13. Heinrich Grüber collection

    Contains a typewritten speech, three pages, hand-signed by theologian and Dachau survivor Heinrich Grüber, dated January 1971, entitled "The Chancellor in Front of the Warsaw Ghetto Memorial," referring to the visit by German Chancellor Willy Brandt to a monument in Warsaw. Also contains two letters written by Grüber.
