History

The municipal archive of Vlagtwedde contains the records of tasks and activities of the former municipality of Vlagtwedde. In 2018 the new municipality of Westerwolde was formed in which Vlagtwedde and Bellingwedde were incorporated. In the inventory of the archive, also deposited archives are included, among others of the Civil Administration of the municipality of Vlagtwedde 1923-1957 and of the Civil Registrar, 1923-1987.

Opening Times

The archive can be visited on: Monday to Friday from 9.00 to 12.00 and from 14.00 to 16.00. Visits by appointment. To visit the archive, it is advisable to make an appointment with the Department of Facility Services on (0599) 320 220.

Het archief bevat de neerslag van taken en activiteiten van de gemeente Vlagtwedde. In de inventaris van het archief zijn ook gedeponeerde archieven opgenomen, onder andere van het Burgerlijk Armbestuur der gemeente Vlagtwedde 1923-1957 en van de Ambtenaar van de Burgerlijke Stand, 1923-1987.
