History
Born 1897 in Berlin. Died 1944 in Auschwitz. German actor, singer and film director, starring in films like "The Blue Angel" and singing in the premiere of the "Threepenny Opera". Gerron was forced to direct the propaganda film in Terezín. Fled to the Netherlands. Transported from Westerbork to Terezín in February 1944. Transported to Auschwitz in October 1944.
