Zentralstelle für jüdische Auswanderung was originally established in 1938-08 by the German Sicherheitspolizei and the Sicherheitsdienst to supervise the emigration and expulsion of the Jews of Austria. Later, the Zentralstelle also dealt with the Jews of the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia and Amsterdam.

After the Munich Agreement in September 1938 and the establishment of the so called 2nd Czechoslovak Republic the new government in January 1939 took out a loan in Great Britain, part of which was set off as a support for the emigration of Czech and Moravian Jews to Palestine. The Zentralstelle für jüdische Auswanderung Amsterdam was the Amsterdam office of the German Sicherheitspolizei und des Sicherheitsdienst, which supervised the deportation of Jews from the Netherlands. Ferdinand Hugo Aus der Fünten was in charge of this office.

The Zentralstelle für jüdische Auswanderung in Böhmen und Mähren was instituted in Prague on 1939-07-26, after the Nazis occupied Bohemia and Moravia. This office was headed by Eichmann, and it ultimately dealt with the expulsion of the Jews of the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia to Theresienstadt.
